Educators, Publishers, and Non-Profits

Use the Power of the Movies to Share Your Knowledge, Passion, Expertise, and Mission…

Educators

Find It In Film Find it in Film was founded with you in mind. And as we move forward, you will find that this Web site belongs more and more to you. You drive it: the visual media that you use in the classroom, how you use them, and the questions you have about them. This is the place for you to share this information with each other through direct submissions, dialogue on our content area blogs, and eventually, via Find it in Film’s fully interactive database-supported Media Annotations. Publishers

The work that you publish about media can help educators learn about specific titles and important ideas that they can bring into the classroom. Through Find it in Film’s Content Inventories, reviews, and links, we help teachers and librarians make that connection between visual media and the published titles that can act as valuable resources for teaching them. More importantly, the intellectual property in your books, periodicals, and Web sites can be repurposed into Find it in Film’s Media Annotations so that teachers have access to your information and insight at point-of-use. In this way, as educators navigate information on a well-known movie or TV show and decide which clips to use in teaching, they also discover the work that you’ve published. In short, you gain exposure and expand your market—and Find it in Film does all the work. For more information about creating such “sponsored” annotations, click here; to learn more about how to generate reviews and Content Inventories of your published titles, click here.

Not-for-Profit Organizations

Visual media not only engage and inspire learners, but also helps shift cultural dialogue on important issues. Be a direct part of the conversation by providing Media Annotations that introduce students and teachers to vital information at point-of-use in the media they’re already viewing. Further your mission by pointing out incorrect or harmful information in the mass media or by providing valuable updates to content. Educators and students can learn about your organization and be directed there for further resources. In addition, Find it in Film may be able to work with distributors to donate a portion of the proceeds from sales of a given title to benefit your cause or group.
